We took a little
time off in honor of my cold (poor me, obviously not getting enough attention)--interrupted
somewhat by the high-pitched warning horn and explosions in the tunnel they
are digging right outside our window--and then ventured out for dinner. When
it started raining again (or when we saw the unbelievable prices in even the
outdoor cafes along the waterfront--$40-50 for an entree), we came back to
the hotel cafe and had what turned out to be our best meal of the trip so
far. We were also relieved to learn our hotel hadn't fallen into the
tunnel.
